TEHDAS workshop on citizen engagement in European health data space
The TEHDAS joint action invites stakeholders across Europe to participate in building recommendations on citizens’ role in health data sharing and use. The hybrid workshop will take place on 11 October 2022 at 15.00-17.00 CET in Brussels and online.
TEHDAS, the joint action Towards the European Health Data Space, is inviting Europeans to discuss citizens’ role in health data sharing and use for secondary purposes, such as research, innovation, and policymaking.
In the workshop, you will hear the results of a public consultation organised by TEHDAS as well as the input gathered via national workshops held in Belgium, France and the United Kingdom. The purpose is to discuss recommendations made by TEHDAS project to the European Commission and to the member states on how the public should be involved in the upcoming European health data space.
The workshop will take place on Tuesday 11 October at 15.00-17.00 CET. You can participate online or onsite in Brussels at the Hungarian Permanent Representation to the European Union (address: Rue de Trèves 92, 1040 Bruxelles).
TEHDAS conducted an online consultation between December 2021 and May 2022 to gather citizens’ input on the secondary use of health data and how they would like to be engaged in health data governance at national and/or European level. The report of the consultation was published in June.
Register preferably by 3 October.
